MUN (Model United Nations) Club promotes discussions, debates and cognitive abilities that promote critical thinking of the participants and make them aware and reflective of the current scenarios in India and the world. The club endeavours to develop a culture of interaction, dialogue, debates and synthesis. MUNC has organized a wide range of activities in the University including extempore, panel discussions, quizzes etc.

The objectives of the MUN Club are:

1. To enable students to use their creativity and analytical skills to create a potent action plan for the future of humanity.
2. To enable students to understand, appreciate, analyse and apply values of social justice in everyday life.
3. To prepare students to represent larger forums by developing their public speaking skills.

The activities conducted under this club included: extempore competitions, debates and panel discussions, poster-making competitions, and essay writing competitions.

DIA is the Design Club of K. R. Mangalam University that endeavours to create design solutions to enlighten lives. The Club identifies needs, challenges and opportunities in Design and prepares creative solutions to improve the quality of life of people. The activities and workshops organised by DIA Club aim to prepare students for better design capabilities and encourage them to produce objects that help in improving lives.

The objectives of the DIA Club are:

1. To encourage the students to identify design around them and understand the needs of the community and improve the quality of life of people through innovative designs To encourage local communities towards Creativity and Design.
2. To encourage students to learn about local architecture, culture and construction techniques

Some of the activities conducted by the club are Origami Workshops, Photography and Film Making, Canvas Paintings, Site Visits etc. and from time-to-time various competitions are being held such as a Photography Workshop, Cradle of Life: Creating pot planters with Sustainable Materials.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science Society has provided a common platform for students from different disciplines to have an enriching experience and explore new ideas on science and technology. It encourages out-of-box thinking amongst students and gives them a platform to put their knowledge into action, enhancing their scientific temperaments and critical thinking. Throughout the academic session, the society organizes different activities to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and its practice. Different events are planned to promote practical knowledge, teamwork and hands-on learning in Science where students from different schools may indulge with full enthusiasm, give shape to their innovative ideas and learn from each other’s experiences.

The objectives of the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science Society are:

1. To enhance the understanding and appreciation of science among students and stakeholders by demonstrating the vital connection between science, technology, and societal development.
2. To encourage and nurture scientific and technological creativity in students through engagement in lectures, workshops, seminars, and debates.
3. To empower students with essential skills and knowledge via participation in model exhibitions, quizzes, and screenings of science-related films.
4. To involve students in interactive and immersive experiences that promote critical thinking and a deeper understanding of scientific principles.
5. To provide a platform for students to engage with experts and peers, highlighting the relevance of science and technology in real-world scenarios and future careers.

Rhetoric Club at K. R. Mangalam University plays a significant role in the lives of every literary enthusiast at the University. One of the most awaited events conducted under its aegis is its annual literary event Rhetoric which conducts inter-University literary competitions such as poetry competitions, story writing competitions, essay writing sessions and extempore to encourage listening and speaking, reading and writing skills of the students. Many students find interest in scribbling down the thoughts and ideas that run through their minds. With this special initiative, the club aims to make those intentions a part of their learning as students also find their careers out of these activities in the long run. The club organizes regular activities which nurture and shape students to become orators thus contributing to their holistic grooming.

The objectives of the Rhetoric Club are as:

1. To provide a platform for the students to hone their skills related to language and literature.
2. To create a platform where students can work on their basic communication and presentation skills.
3. To provide an opportunity for students to share their ideas and to get involved in productive discussions focusing on students’ weaker areas related to their written and communication skills.

Good health is defined as the complete Coordination of Body, Mind and Soul. The Health Society continuously strives to create awareness among people who are underprivileged and deprived of basic Health care services and to make health an asset valued by the community. It is dedicatedly involved in creating awareness and imparting knowledge about the diseases people are suffering from as many of them don’t take treatments because of a lack of awareness. Through the conduction of Health camps, health society tries to ensure that people get the right information about their medical problems at the right time. In collaboration with Medanta, Medox Hospital and various  NGOs like Pranab Mukherjee, and Vision of India, the Health Society organizes regular health camps in the KRMU campus and the nearby villages. Several biochemical tests including Body Mass Index, HB content, Blood Group, Blood Pressure, Blood sugar, etc. are conducted in these health camps.

The objectives of the Health Society are as:

1. To foster health consciousness among students and the wider community, emphasizing the importance of physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
2. To educate students and community members on preventive measures and best practices for maintaining and improving their health.
3. To organize and implement health drive programs aimed at disease prevention and eradication.
4. To create an environment conducive to both physical and mental development for students and community members.
5. To enhance the general living standards within the community through targeted health initiatives.

The Computer Society of India KRMU Chapter (CSI) is a non-profit professional society which is designed to exchange views and information to learn and share ideas. It also encourages and assists professionals to maintain the integrity and competence of the profession and fosters a sense of partnership amongst members. The activities conducted for the students associated with the CSI include lecture meetings, seminars, quizzes, training programmes and programming contests. The main benefits of CSI membership is as follows:

1. CSI has 72 chapters all over India, 511 student branches and more than 10,000 members including India’s most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists, and dedicated academicians. The membership helps develop a vast networking system for the members.
2. Recognition by Accreditation bodies for association with a professional organization.
3. Access to CSI knowledge portal and distinguished speaker list and eligibility for volunteering to be a speaker.

The motto of the society is to promote and develop knowledge related to recent advancements in Computer Science and its applications through innovation. The society has conducted various activities such as coding competitions, a tech talk on recent developments in IT, lecture series and workshops, a technical idea contest, guest lectures, and the annual IT Fest: Tech Odyssey. Recurring coding competitions and evaluations are held for the students of the society, along with a LAN gaming event.

In today’s world, media has gone beyond the television, telephones and newspapers in our living rooms and has entered almost every sphere of people’s lives with far-reaching effects in our personal, professional and social lives. In this light, Mediaverse is the media club housed to enhance the university students’ experiences with these diverse forms of media.

The objectives of Mediaverse Club are as:

1. To provide a platform for students across departments for creative expression along with the basic technological skills from the world of media.
2. To provide an opportunity to students to learn new professional skills and also to improve their communication and public speaking skills.

The club conducts various kinds of events through the year ranging from workshops on podcast production to out-of-campus photo walks. The idea is to make the students conscious of a professional world beyond their core discipline but one, that they are constantly engaging with in almost every sphere of their lives.  In the past, the club members have learnt new skills like cartoon-making, and filmmaking or enhanced existing skills like meme-making and photography through sessions with noted experts from the industry and academics. The club also conducts competitions wherein students can showcase their abilities at both intra- and inter-university levels. The activities have been well received by students of the university.

Management Society provides a peek into sought-after careers of students, be it entrepreneurship, consulting, marketing or finance. These activities are solely managed by members of the society- from choosing activities to contacting stakeholders to allocating budgets to taking permissions from admins for the activity- all are managed by members of the society. Think about the learnings- once a student has organized such a grand event- it gives him/her the experience to manage challenging roles in the corporate world once he/she steps out of the university. Management Society has successfully organized many inter-university and inter-school events like Learn-to-Earn Workshop, B-KwiZZ and JAM Session, Abhivyakti Shahadat ki, Lekan-Gayan-Vachan-Manchan, Fiery Debate, Management Lessons for Young Learners, Roshnikaar1.0 etc. This is an initiative to inculcate managerial, entrepreneurial and life skills amongst students of the university.

Management society spreads awareness about numerous management concepts, building the core foundation of students. It inspires learners to go beyond their imagination by hosting various events and activities. These include workshops, webinars, and guest lectures from esteemed academicians in the field of management and commerce. At KRMU, we take responsibility for the holistic development of our graduates and fulfil it by maximizing their participation in industry-oriented events.

The Sports Club at KRMU was formed in 2013. KRMU provides state-of-the-art facilities with many playgrounds, and indoor courts as well as sporting activities that help students stay as fit as a fiddle and develop a spirit of sportsmanship. At KRMU, Inter-University Sports Competitions are organized by the Sports Club every year that witnesses more than 500 participants from across different Universities/Colleges participating in the event. Some of the sports organized are; football, basketball, table tennis, badminton, cricket, football, foos-ball, chess etc. The club also organizes, SPORTURA, an Inter –School sports event. This sports event is organised every year for KRMU students to showcase their sportsmanship. Every year SPORTURA witness the participation of more than 600 students from various schools in Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton and Chess. During the last years, KRMU students have participated in various National, State and Inter-University sports events and have achieved good results. KRMU students have been very consistent and have won various positions at Inter-University, Zonal and State Levels every year.

The culture is to be a dynamic, challenging and independent force based on the freedom of expression. Creativity, diversity and artistic quality are to be integral parts of society’s development. Societies need a strong cultural life. Through its potential to move and inspire, culture contributes both to strengthening the individual and developing society as a whole. Freedom of expression is a prerequisite for a living democracy and freedom of opinion. It is an essential and obvious task of cultural policy to protect this freedom. Activities like singing, dancing, theatre, drama etc. are being taken up.

The objectives of the Cultural Club are as:

1. To encourage everyone to take advantage of chances to engage in cultural activities, learn new skills, and participate in educational programmes.
2. To help the students to know themselves self-better their interests, abilities, aptitudes and opportunities.

The Investment Club is a student-driven club with the agenda of becoming one of the top choices for all the students of the KRMU as budding investors. The club is dedicated to helping members enter the investment management field through career preparation workshops, mentorship programs, and stock pitch seminars. It provides the opportunity for the students to gain hands-on experience in the investment management industry that upgrades lessons learned in both classroom and work environments. In addition to it, students have an opportunity to become Fund Analysts by presenting investment ideas in weekly meetings held by the Club.

This pioneering initiative aims to imbue students with a set of aspirational values, guiding them towards a balanced and focused life across material, ethical, and spiritual dimensions.

The Chetna Society provides a platform for students to connect with their inner wisdom through heartfulness meditation, helping them calm and guide their minds. By fostering inner growth and balance, society addresses the challenges faced by today’s youth, who often struggle to prioritize amidst numerous goals. Through its various programs, Chetna Society seeks to inspire a sense of well-being and joy, nurturing a generation of mindful and well-rounded individuals. From time to time, expert sessions by IAS Officers are conducted who discuss various aspects of the student’s life including managing time and stress, overcoming fear etc. The society also partners with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) which conducts various sessions.
