About Course :

It is a 4 years Undergraduate Bachelor Degree program. B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture program consists of topics such as- agriculture science, use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, land surveying, soil science, water resource management, animal and poultry management, basics of biotechnology etc.

The main aim of this program is to use the above mentioned concepts to train students improve agriculture productivity, manage products and pave way for future developments through research activities.

B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture syllabus is broad and consists of courses in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Agricultural Economics, Extension education, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Food Technology, Animal Husbandry apart from supporting courses in Basic Sciences, Humanities, and Agricultural Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria:

An applicant who has successfully completed 10+2 examination or equivalent with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB/ PCA subjects from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by the State Government., may apply for admission into the course.

Students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks for SC, ST and OBC candidates).
