About Course

It is a 4-year Undergraduate Bachelor Degree Programme B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture consisting of topics such as Agricultural Science, Modern Scientific Equipment and Techniques, Land Surveying, Soil Science, Water Resource Management, Animal and Poultry Management, Basics of Biotechnology, etc.

The main aim of this program is to train students using the above mentioned concepts to improve agriculture productivity, product management and pave a way for future developments through research activities in this particular field.

Course Outline

B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture syllabus is broad and consists of courses in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Agricultural Economics, Extension education, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Food Technology, Animal Husbandry and apart from these supporting courses in Basic Sciences, Humanities, and Agricultural Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

An applicant who has successfully completed 10+2 examination or equivalent with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB/ PCA subjects from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by the State Government, may apply for admission into the course.

Students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks for SC, ST and OBC candidates).
