Interdisciplinary Focus on Covid19’s Impact and Global Responses
A Student driven project at KRMU

KRMU has initiated – for the first time in India - a unique, innovative, pioneering COVID-19 Project for our students. This is a pan-university project for students across different disciplines.The project focuses on the business, media, pharmaceutical, legal, political, economic, regional, global, family and individual impact of the corona outbreak. There is no doubt whatsoever that the current pandemic

‘Out of the Box’ Teaching Pedagogy during COVID-19 Break
KRMU is taking effective and creative measures to continue teaching through e-means. It has adopted ‘Out of the Box’ teaching pedagogy in view of the lockdown due to outbreak of Corona. Online engagements and Scholar Tutorials, IIT Bombay Remote Training has been taken up by KRMU during COVID-19 break. “Amid Corona virus E-learning worked as a perfect solution, due to this our studies are not getting affected and it is a very efficient for discussions with professors and for clearing doubts”.

Sports Event-Zest 2020
The Sports Society, KRMU organized ‘ZEST 2020’ on 3-4 March 2020. The seven indoor and outdoor games competitions were organised during the event. Around 350 participants from 13 Universities/Institutes took part in the event. KRMU got first position in Table Tennis, Badminton Singles (M) and (W).

Legal Aid and Financial Awareness camp in Village Alipur
KRMU in collaboration with District Legal Service Authority, Gurugram and HDFC Bank organized Legal Aid &Financial Awareness Camp on 4 March 2020 at village Alipur. "As a final year student, it helped me in actually assisting the common man with help of legal knowledge gained during my graduation. This opportunity of directly interacting with the aggrieved people enriched my understanding of law". (Anu, LLB (H), III Year)

Health Camp at Nirankari College, Sohna
As a part of community service, KRMU conducted a free health check-up camp in Nirankari College, Sohna on 5 March 2020. Visitors were checked for BP, Blood Sugar, and BMI and other health parameters. “Health camp was very good, and all the measurements were taken to identify the basic health of people like BP, Sugar, BMI etc. It helped underprivileged people to know about the disease they have”.

eYIC Regional Finals 5-6 March 2020
KRMU in collaboration with I.I.T. Bombay hosted ‘e-yantra Ideas Competition Regional Finals’ on 5-6 March 2020 to encourage innovative projects. A total of eight teams participated from North and East India after being shortlisted from 320 teams.
“eYIC was a very enthusiastic exposure for me to communicate and learn from participants across the north and east zone”.

Award to NSS-KRMU by Delhi State Legal Services Authority
NSS-KRMU volunteers participated in the National Seminar on ‘Cyber Crime against Women’ on 6 March 2020 that was jointly organized by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority and Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti. NSS-KRMU received award for their outstanding contribution in Social Services and Legal Awareness Program.Two students from K R Mangalam University viz., Avinash Kumar Pandey and Sriram Narayanan from B. Com (H), I Year also participated in this event and won special prize of Rs 1000/- and mementos for their presentation.

International Women’s Day
KRMU celebrated IWD to appreciate all the women, who are the soul of our lives. The students had expressed their emotions through NukkadNatak, poetry, singing dancing, sketching and poster/collage making, Rangoli Competition and Guest Lecture. The enthusiasm shown by the students had reflected that they believe in gender equality, women empowerment and women safety.
“The first step towards achieving a cause is making people aware about it and what better way to create an awareness than mixing it with creativity! Events like these count as worthwhile experience”.
