Role Summary
We are establishing a new Department of Aerospace Engineering and seek a senior academic leader to build it end-to-end: curriculum, faculty, labs, research, and industry partnerships. This is a founder role with full ownership of academic direction and long-term positioning.
Key Responsibilities

Define vision, roadmap, and academic strategy for the department.

Design UG/PG/PhD programs aligned with AICTE/UGC/NEP and industry needs.

Recruit and lead high-caliber faculty; build a research-driven culture.

Plan and commission core aerospace labs (CFD, propulsion, structures, UAV, avionics).

Build partnerships with ISRO/DRDO/HAL, aerospace firms, startups, and global universities.

Drive funded research, patents, student competitions, internships, and placements.

Establish the department’s national reputation and brand.
Qualifications

PhD in Aerospace/Aeronautical or closely related field.

10+ years in academia and/or aerospace industry with leadership experience.

Proven record in curriculum design, research, grants, and institution building.
