Job Summary:

The FnB Lab Assistant supports the Food & Beverage laboratory operations by assisting in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards, and helping with inventory management. This role is crucial for smooth functioning of culinary experiments, training sessions, and practical classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and organizing the FnB lab for practical sessions and experiments.
  • Prepare ingredients and basic food items as per instructions from the supervisor or chef.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Support inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in documentation of recipes, lab reports, and quality checks.
  • Provide support during culinary demonstrations and student training sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or certification in Food & Beverage, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Understanding of hygiene and safety standards in food handling.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately.
