The university's framework for regional value-enhancement initiatives is centered on the principles of research, teaching, and community service. The University strives to continue with such regional and societal causes towards the community in order to substantially contribute for local, regional and national development. K R Mangalam University is situated in Sohna, strategically positioned amid the rapidly expanding urban built-up areas of an urban village. These villages are undergoing a significant transformation due to urbanization and modernization, resulting in a unique urban-rural duality. The university has initiated the adoption of its five surrounding villages to support their sustainable urban development in the face of imminent urbanization and expansion, notably from neighboring hubs such as Gurgaon, Badshahpur, and Sohna.

Situated in a strategically advantageous location with rapid developmental activities, the university recognizes its responsibility to give back to the community. In pursuit of this objective, the university has initiated collaborative efforts with the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Gurugram, specifically in the areas of Ghamroj, Garhi Bazidpur, Berka, Lakhuwas, and Kharoda. Furthermore, the university has established partnerships with organizations such as the Pranab Mukherjee Foundation, Human Touch Foundation, Heartfulness, Smiling Tree, Green Planters, and Meant 4 Environment Foundation.

Additionally, the university has established a National Social Service (NSS) and Red Cross Society, facilitating and promoting a culture of community service and outreach. All the schools within K R Mangalam University regularly organize regional development activities in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS), Red Cross Society (RCS), the Deputy Commissioner's Office, and various other non-governmental and government organizations, further emphasizing the institution's commitment to its social and regional responsibilities.

In pursuit of our objectives, the university has initiated a proactive approach to secure projects from esteemed organizations, including the Department of Science and Technology-SEED and the DC Office. These projects have a direct and substantial impact on the society.

Through its Seed Grant Projects, the university delves into critical areas of societal growth. One such endeavour assesses the "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" initiative, evaluating its repercussions on socio-economic and political relations within Haryana. Another project, with a specific focus on Gurugram district, scrutinizes the extent and effectiveness of financial inclusion in India, striving to enhance access to financial services for underprivileged communities. In collaboration with DST-SEED Division, the university has an recommendation of ground breaking project. The establishment of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) hubs in five nearby villages of KRMU, Sohna is designed to bolster indigenous knowledge. It does so by creating value chains for handicrafts and agriculture, thus promoting sustainable development in these communities.

KRMU commits to regional betterment. It spans a broad spectrum of initiatives that near to century. These encompass career counseling for school students, educational programs aimed at enhancing children's reading skills, digital skills empowerment for girls, Arogyam program for health issues and the promotion of government schemes fostering micro-entrepreneurship. The institution also conducts financial literacy camps, skill development programs, organizes plantation drives, and raises awareness regarding crop residue management. It has furthered its outreach through health camps, computer literacy programs, and campaigns like "Mission Shakti," aimed at menstrual sanitation.
