Professor Ashum Gupta is Dean Research and Academic Affairs at K.R. Mangalam University. She is former Head and Professor, Department of Psychology, University of Delhi, former Director, Gandhi Bhawan, University of Delhi and former Provost, University Hostel for Women. She has been the Visiting Professor, University of Delhi after retirement. She is Honorary Professor, Panjab University, Chandigarh, former Chairperson, Governing Body, Miranda House, University of Delhi and has served as a Governing Body member of various colleges of University of Delhi. A gold medalist from University of Delhi, she has over 42 years of teaching, research and clinical experience. She has received several international and national awards and fellowships such as Fulbright Senior Research Scholarship, Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship (could not avail due to personal reasons), British Psychological Society award as a Visiting Psychologist to UK, Indian National Science Academy award as a research scientist, ICMR fellowship as Trainer in Community Mental Health, NIMHANS, Bangalore and UGC research associateship at NIMHANS, Bangalore. She has published 59 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed international and national journals, 8 book chapters in edited books and has 8 publications in research bulletins. She has presented research papers and seminars in several countries such as USA, Canada, England, Scotland, Belgium, Switzerland Australia and Turkey. She has been serving as a resource person for several organisations and has served on the editorial board of a few national journals. She has been the Principal Investigator of many prestigious sponsored research projects. She has the distinct honour of being the Chancellor’s nominee of Panjab University, Chandigarh. She has served as member of academic council, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Tamil Nadu, executive council member, Sikkim University and the elected executive committee member, Delhi University Women’s Association. She has been contributing as resource person for many government and non-government organisations.
