Dean's Message


Greeting from the School of Medical and Allied Sciences at K. R. Mangalam University! School of Mediacl & Allied Sciences at K. R. Mangalam University started in the year 2013. At SMAS, we not only believe in training clinicians, researchers, entrepreneurs or academicians, we nurture young minds to explore their own potential.



Offering programmes in Pharmacy and Physiotherapy, SMAS is dedicated towards training healthcare professionals equipped for the future. Pharmacy programmes- D. Pharm., B.Pharm. & M. Pharm. is duly approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Ph.D. (Pharmacy) and Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) by UGC.



Our state-of-the-art infrastructure, from smart classrooms to modular labs, gives our students a decided advantage by enhancing learning. Our labs are equipped for training and research, and there are dedicated labs for our post graduate M. Pharm. students, in addition to an animal house and central instrumentation facility. We have successfully integrated technology into the pedagogy, and students are adept at using the different modern tools for learning and communication. Industrial Visits, industrial training, handout experience, guest lectures by experts from Industry provide a sound knowledge of principles and applications in the field of pharmacy and related domains.



At KRMU, the focus is on interdisciplinary collaboration, and we have inculcated Project Based Learning whilst strictly adhering to PCI guidelines. Each student is assigned a mentor, who guides the student in achieving his/ her professional and personal potential. The library is well equipped with a large collection of books and journals, apart from online tools accessible to the students for research and additional knowledge. The modern, open campus, sports facilities and regular extra-curricular events add to personality development and instill a sense of camaraderie and pride towards the institution.



Strong tie-ups with industries like sun pharma, dabur research foundation, training in communication skills and a strong research focus has helped our students over the years to mature into graduates who are sought after and successful in their fields. As a part of their professional development, students routinely visit pharmaceutical industries, research facilities, hospitals and clinics, where they interact with seasoned professionals and gain first-hand insights into the profession.



I am thankful to the management at KRMU for providing an ideal environment for learning and my faculty- a team of dedicated experts, for their dedication and passion.
