K.R. Mangalam University hosted e yantra ideas competition regional finals on 5-6 March 2020. A total of eight teams participated from Noida, Dwarka, Meerut and West Bengal after being shortlisted from 320 teams of north zone.
e-Yantra Ideas Competition (eYIC ) is a competition to encourage innovative projects from robotics labs set up through the e-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI) in colleges across the country.The initiative aims:

• To ensure sustained use of the robotics labs set up through eLSI
• To solicit innovative solutions to real world problems from students in eLSI colleges across the country
• To nurture BE projects in Embedded Systems and Robotics at eLSI colleges
• To nurture a start-up culture at the eLSI labs

The teams showcased various projects which could be beneficial for the society in near future. The various projects were GRAINO-GARNER-CHAMBER, Next-Gen vision kit, A semiautomatic machine to Clean, by product from waste, Water Surface Garbage Collector System, Voice Recognized Based Braille Printer, Reformation of waste plastic into useful structure, AQUA-Bot: A Crop Watering Mobile Robot For precision Irrigation, Drug Mixing for Chemotherapy.

The two days event concluded with panel discussion by industrialist and eminent professors: Prof. Aditya Malik, Vice Chancellor, KRMU, Prof. Kavi Arya, IIT Bombay, Mr. Vinod Sood, Manging Director, Hughes Systique Ltd and Dr. Omkar Rai, Director General Software Technology Parks on the topic “Role of e-Yantra Labs in Industry/Academia interaction”.

The faculty coordinators were: Ms. Charu Singh, Ms. Puja Acharya, Dr. Rajni Gautam, Dr. Ajay Kumar and Mr. Manish Kumar.
