22nd September 2020: On day two of Industry Engagement Programme organised by School of Journalism and Mass Communication the participants got opportunity to interact
with experts of diverse fields.
RJ Rahul Makin, Fever 104 FM mesmerized the audience with his charm. He talked about the vast opportunities one can explore in radio. He briefed about how Radio is the one spontaneous and instant medium and people always connect themselves with the RJ because of the spontaneity.
Being an RJ is continuously delivering engaging content and how can one overcome the boredom that sets in while speaking, he gave the participants tips and methods for that as well. He encouraged everyone to follow their love and passion as the career opportunities have now become a war of ‘Skill v/s Will’. Emphasizing on the fact that only passion and true passion will lead you to success in any field, he did make sure to express his love for Radio in a very interesting manner by siting his experiences and giving numerous real-life examples.
The wide variety of questions ranged from RJ as a career to what is love in life, yet he managed to enchant participants with his intellect, aura and wit.
Mr Akhtar Khan, Public Speaker, Radio Jockey, V.O Artist Anchor, Host Anchor was the resource person for the first session. Mr Khan started the session by explaining personality development why it is important for everyone to develop and how anyone can develop professional skills which are needed in industry. He showed few of his masterpiece of commercial advertisements made for Radio. Heading towards he played few of the games to make the session more interactive for everyone.
The ‘Idea Generation of Reality Shows’ session was conducted by Mr. Ajit Singh Gahlot, Executive Producer in Film and TV Industry. Mr. Ajit Singh shared his journey how he started his career and gave insights of television industry. He further briefed the students about the ideation and complete process of the reality shows. He also explained how industry work and discussed various shows in which he had worked before like Dance India Dance, Master-Chef, Voice of India and many other.
Students were curious to know more about the style of filming and asked their questions which made the session more interactive and interesting one.
The second day of K.R. Mangalam University’s Industry Engagement Programme ended on a spell bounding note with the last session about Radio Jockeying by RJ Rahul Makin, popularly known as Love Guru on FM Fever. He started the session narrating a beautiful couplet in his melodious voice and kept the participants glued to their screens till the very end of the session.
