School of Journalism and Mass Communication organizes Industry Engagement Programme

21 September 2020: School of Journalism and Mass Communication, KRMU with the objective to provide best of industry and academic interaction to the students has organized One Week Industry Engagement Programme from September 21-25, 2020.

The day one started with the first session by Ms. Mansi Sehdev, Former sports anchor, on the topic ‘Sports Anchoring’. She explained the students about the qualities required to become a successful sports anchor and how the number of sports as well as broadcaster are growing in this era. To give the students clearer view Ms. Mansi organised an interactive activity for the students to present themselves as a sports anchor. The power boosting session came to an end with a cornucopia of knowledge.

The second session was conducted on Film Making and Documentary by Mr Charu Chandra Pathak. He talked about some of the prominent names like Alex Gibney and Adam Curtis who have achieved a ton in the field of documentary making.

Later in the session, sir also suggested a few aspects of choosing a topic while making a documentary and even showed some examples during the session. The session was flooded with some gems in the form of documentaries which really assisted students to connect and realize the essence of such work.

The third session was conducted by Ms. Nikita Arora, a former journalist and CEO, Webnnel. The topic of discussion was Social Media Marketing. The session was very interactive and informative as there were a lot of questions and answers from both the sides. Ms. Nikita Arora engaged with many students with questions related to their favourite social media platforms and also cleared many doubts as well on how to promote and marketize your product or page on social media.

The sessions were attended by more than 80 students from various universities and colleges of Delhi NCR.
