International Online FDP on “Advancements in Science and Technology for Sustainable Development”

School of Basic and Applied Sciences organized one week International Online Faculty Development Program on “Advancements in Science and Technology for Sustainable Development” from 13-17 July, 2020. The patron of the event was Prof. Meena Bhandari and the conveners were Dr. Dilraj Preet Kaur and Dr. Pawan Kumar.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Aditya Malik, Vice Chancellor, KRMU on July 13, 2020. The FDP has been a great learning experience where scientist and academicians from International/National Research labs and Universities of repute have delivered their talks and discussed their research work.

The sessions were conducted on varied topics and deliberations on fields of science and technology with the focus on sustainable development were done. International resource persons were Dr. Rahul Biswas, Lead AI Scientist Target Corporation Minneapolis, USA and Dr. Mukesh Kumar Thakur, J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry, CzechAcademy of Sciences-Akademie věd České Republiky, Prague. The resource persons from national organizations of repute were Dr. Narayan Panigrahi, Scientist G, Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), DRDO Bangalore, Prof. Hari Krishna Singh, Senior Principal Scientist, NPL, New Delhi, Dr. Sudhanshu Sharma, IIT Gandhinagar, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Ramjas College, DU, Prof. Renu Chugh, MDU, Rohtak.

Three resource persons Dr. Seema Raj, Dr. Neeraj Kumari and Mr. Vineet Dahiya were from K.R. Mangalam University.

55 participants have attended this faculty development program. The Faculty Development Program concluded with Vote of Thanks by Prof. Meena Bhandari, Dean, SBAS.
