Every year, September 14 is celebrated as Hindi Diwas. On this day in 1950, the Constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi, an Indo-Aryan language, written in Devanagari script as one of the official languages of the Republic of India. To celebrate the “Power of Hindi” final year students of School of Journalism and Mass Communication Srishti, Aditi, Divyendu, Raina and Kanishka organized Hindi Diwas as the part of Event Management project. The program started with the speech by Prof. (Dr.) Kiran Bala Dean, SJMC, who addressed the gathering “No matter where we reach and what we do, if we remain grounded and in-sync with our roots, we stay unshakable. Each year, the day reminds us of our true identity and unites us with the people of our country”.
