An Unprecedented High Quality Innovation in Crystal Growth
Nearly perfect crystals are in great demand in technological applications as well as in high quality basic research. In the ‘Engineering Kitchen’ of KRMU, a facility for melt growth of large-size crystals has been established by using unprecedented techniques like a furnace fabricated with clay used in pottery and achieving ~1000C, and a pulling mechanism, without employing any electrical motor.

The students of School of Journalism and Mass Communication celebrated Teachers’ day with great enthusiasm and gaiety. Students of BA(JMC) organized games and fun activities for the faculty members to make their day special. The event started with the welcome address by Lakshita, a III semester student. Sarvleen, a III semester student,
anchored the programme. Devanshi and Deeksha from I semester threw light on the importance of teacher’s day and role of teachers’ in our life.
The students of first semester Shruti, Shubham, Himanshi, Gagan and Karamjeet enthralled the audience with their excellent dance performances. Sahil made everyone’s day with his mesmerizing singing. Prakhar, a I semester student, took the show to another level by reciting self-composed poems and quotes.
Dr. Kiran Bala, Dean of SJMC, in her address appreciated the efforts of the students and highlighted the role of teachers in inculcating professionalism, commitment and honesty in students’ life. The programme concluded with students and faculty members sharing their experiences with each other.
