An Unprecedented High Quality Innovation in Crystal Growth
Nearly perfect crystals are in great demand in technological applications as well as in high quality basic research. In the ‘Engineering Kitchen’ of KRMU, a facility for melt growth of large-size crystals has been established by using unprecedented techniques like a furnace fabricated with clay used in pottery and achieving ~1000C, and a pulling mechanism, without employing any electrical motor.
Introduction to the World of Microcontrollers and Robotics
26 th September 2019
K.R. Mangalam University
Under the umbrella of ‘New Frontiers’, School of Basic and Applied Sciences of K. R. Mangalam University organized a workshop on Introduction to the World of Microcontrollers and Robotics, on 26th September 2019. Dr. Rajni Gautam, Assistant Professor, SBAS, was the resource person for the workshop.
Workshop was divided into ‘theory’ and ‘hands on practical sessions’. First, she introduced Microcontrollers and their applications in our day to day life. She demonstrated how a simple wired Robot can be designed. She introduced students to the Softwares namely AVR STUDIO and PROTEUS. She demonstrated the designing of Line Follower Robot using both hardware and software components. Almost 40 students from various departments of the University enthusiastically participated in this workshop. Few glimpses of the workshop are:
