ZONAL NASA 2018 – ZONE-1: Held at College of Architecture, IET Bhaddal, Ropar

NASA – ‘National Association of Students of Architecture’ is a forum which promotes interaction between students, faculty and professionals. It is a platform where students from varied cultural backgrounds learn and share their knowledge. National NASA convention is a yearly event at the National level and the Zonal NASA is at the Zonal level. In National NASA 100-120 colleges participate from all over India. For Zonal NASA there are 6 zones throughout India including 1-2 states within one zone. Zonal NASA invites around 20-25 colleges per zone.
This year Zonal NASA 2018 of Zone-1 was held at College of Architecture, IET Bhaddal, Technical Campus, Ropar from 18 to 21 October. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of School of Architecture & Planning of K.R.Mangalam University participated in the Zonal NASA 2018. A team of 12 students participated under the guidance of Unit Secretary, Divya Kharbanda, and Unit Designee, Priyanka Dabra.
The students participated in On Spot Design Competition for 24 hours and presented the work base and sheets in front of the jury members. The Thesis Report 2018 of Karan Bharadwaj (V Year) was presented by the Unit Secretary at the convention. Each delegate participated in workshops like Stable Design, Live Murals, Landscape Architecture, Project Management, Step on Stage, and Vertical Gardening. Each day concluded with musical, fashion, band and drama performances.
The experience of each student is worth all the hard work and sleepless nights as National Association of Student of Architecture is one of the largest student body organisation which gives a life time experience to students to interact with members of other colleges and renowned architects namely Ar. Praveen Bavadekar, Hafiz contractor, Ar. Vinu Daniel and Ar. Aditi Pai. Events like these enhance the students’ interpersonal and professional traits and also provide a platform to gain knowledge and experience.
