Extension and Outreach Programme

Under the Extension and Outreach Programme organized from January- May 2024, the faculty and student-teachers of School of Education, K.R Mangalam University worked tirelessly to empower government school teachers to use modern Educational Technology to improve their teaching and assessment. The efforts were made to establish the value of continuous learning and collaboration among the community.

The extension and outreach programme were organised in a phase-wise manner. In the first phase, the teachers’ needs assessment was done through a baseline survey. In the second phase, based on the responses of teachers to the survey, a Pre-test was conducted to understand the level  of assistance required by them. Based on the results, tailor-made training sessions were organised. These sessions covered tools like MS Office Suite, Canva, and Google Forms, helping teachers create engaging lessons and efficient assessments. More than 20 government school teachers from various villages in Sohna, Gurugram  were part of the study. Recommendations for prospects include regular needs assessment of the community; assurances of infrastructural needs; the arrangement of expert sessions; and support for large-scale study to better prepare the teachers to serve the contemporary needs of education and learners.
