Special Lecture On the Right to privacy and data protection

The School of Legal Studies organised a special lecture VIII of the Motilal Nehru Lecture series on “Right to Privacy and Data Protection.” The chief guest of the event was M.K. Bhandari, founder and director of GALTER (Global Academy of Law-Tech Education and Research). The main purpose of this event was to highlight the importance of the right to privacy and data protection. Professor M.K. Bhandari, in his speech, emphasised the importance of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The lecture explored the legal and ethical considerations surrounding individuals’ privacy rights in the digital age. The discussion delved into the importance of safeguarding personal data and the evolving legal frameworks designed to protect the right to privacy as a fundamental right. The session was an enriching, invaluable, and inspiring experience for all the law students.
