Vivek has spent around 15 years in the field of Food & Beverage Operations in various capacities in different companies. Also, has more than 6 years of experience in the field of training.
Starting his career in 1994 with Hyatt Regency, New Delhi, Vivek moved on to TGI Friday’s (chain of casual dining restaurants from USA) in 1996 where he was part of the opening team of its first restaurant in India. He was part of the bar team where he learnt the nuances of bartending. He left the company as Associate General Manager in 2005. He then moved to Pune for the opening of first Indian cuisine restaurant of Specialty Restaurants (P) Ltd. Vivek was the manager of the restaurant and integral part of the opening team of the restaurant.
He did his PGDM in the year 2010 post which he moved to the domain of training. Started with Planman HR as Manager-T&D Operations, moving to International Alliances for the institutions.
In the year 2015, Vivek got the opportunity to work in training department of one of the leading hospitality companies in India, Old World Hospitality (P) Ltd. where he spent around four and a half years before joining KR Mangalam University in 2019.
