Ms. Venuka Sandhir received M.Phil. degree in Mathematics from Centre of Mathematical Sciences, Banasthali University on the topic “ Register Allocation via Graph Coloring” and Masters degree with certificate of merit for securing first position at Hansraj College, University of Delhi. She has published a research paper in an international journal of repute and attended many national workshops/FDPs. She is a recipient of Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship supported by University Grants Commission.
During the course of her career she has taught a wide variety of subjects at both UG and PG level including numerical analysis, mathematical modelling, discrete mathematics and statistics. She also takes hand on sessions with softwares like spread sheets, MATLAB, SPSS, R to students concentrating in mathematics.
She always wanted to fabricate her career focused in teaching and also interested in the field of Educational Research and Pedagogy of Mathematics. She completed M.A. (Education) from IGNOU by defending her dissertation on the topic “A study of Relative Effectiveness of Teaching Mathematics with Concept Attainment Model and Conventional Method at Tertiary Level”. She has been actively involved in the curriculum design for the students of Mathematics across various programmes.
Apart from her teaching responsibilities, she is a member of the Cultural Society of the University and also works as a member of the Board of Studies and Internal Quality Assurance Cell from the School of Basic and Applied Sciences.
