Currently I am pursuing PhD from Amity University, Noida. I worked in Dabur India Pvt Ltd and Amity University, Noida as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on cancer cell line (MCF-7) and find out novel anticancer agents for the treatment of Breast Cancer; I am focusing my research career in addressing a challenging problem pertaining to drug discovery or biological mechanism underlying a disease.

During my M. Pharm dissertation I designed and synthesized novel heterocyclic compounds based on QSAR data and evaluated their various biological activities. I worked in APCER pharma (a Pharmacovigilance based MNC) as a drug safety analyst and my responsibilities were quality checks of cases (ASPRs and literature cases) in ARISg software, preparation of PSUR reports and data entry. During this period I faced client audit and familiarized myself with various guidelines i.e. ICH, GCP, GPP & GMP etc.

Later in DIOS pharma during my 2 years’ experience, I was involved in establishing the technical support for organization. The company was involved in setting up a cancer research vaccine unit in India, which was primarily dealing with cell based therapy in cancer. My job responsibilities were to provide medical information to the clients, assisting managers for establishing production facilities for a cell based therapy for treatment of proliferative diseases.

Later on in PDM College of Pharmacy I worked as an Assistant professor and taught pharmaceutical chemistry and organic chemistry to the third and first year students respectively in the pharmacy department after few months I was selected as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) by Dabur India Pvt Ltd and worked on cancer cell line (MCF-7) in Dabur, Shahiabad and Amity University, Noida. During my work in Dabur I find out seven new moieties which are more effective against Breast Cancer than slandered Tamoxifen.

During my Master’s I demonstrated various Techniques like FTIR, HPTLC, DSC, and UV at two days Post IPA conference workshop on Research Methodologies on Drug discovery “Drug Discovery and Development” organized at DIPSAR from 16-17th March 2009 held in New Delhi.

  • M. Pharm completed in Feb-2010 from Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research (DIPSAR), Delhi University with 70 %.
  • Secured 1st position in M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical chemistry)
  • Recipient fellowship from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. New Delhi, for postgraduate studies
  • B. Pharm completed in July 2007 from Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Pharmacy, I. P. University, New Delhi with 78.0 % (Distinction).
  • Qualified GATE exam in March 2007.
