Dr. Rupali Chandola

Dr. Rupali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, K.R. Mangalam University. She has completed her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from Kumaun University, Nainital (UK), 2017 and Masters in Applied and Clinical Psychology from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, Bareilly (UP)(2006). She has done One year Internship during Post Graduation at Mental Hospital, Bareilly (2005-2006). She has completed Post Graduation Diploma in Forensic Anthropology from University of Lucknow in 2004 and done graduation from University of Lucknow (2003). Before joining the academics, she has worked at a neuropsychiatric hospital (UP & UK) as a mental health professional.

She has worked as a Research field officer in ICMR funded research project, under the title of An Epidemiological Study of the Prevalence of Neuropsychiatric Disorder and Cognitive Disorders in Rural Elderly Population (3rdMarch2008 to 28rd feb 2010.) at King George's Medical University, Department of Geriatric Mental Health, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In academics, she has six years Teaching & Research Experience. Apart from this, she is a Life Associates Members of Indian Association of Geriatric Mental Health, Lucknow. She has also been a part of special training program of SPYM organized by National Institute of Social Defense Delhi on the topic “Basics of Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment”. With her expertise, she has presented various research papers in National and International Conferences and has also attended many workshops.

Presently her 21 research papers have been published in various National and International journals. In the classroom, she follows two major teaching approaches: (i) to provide the students with a rich understanding of psychological concepts with an understanding of the implications of psychology in multi-disciplinary and (ii) to develop students’ critical innovative and self-sufficient learning. Such skills if inculcated in the students help them to transcend the field of psychology and can be applied by students who want to pursue their career in not only the psychology majors but also in research.
