Dr. Minhaj Ahmed Khan
Assistant Professor
Dr. Khan, an erudite scholar in East Asian geopolitics and security studies, completed his doctoral tenure at Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. His doctoral inquiry scrutinised Japan’s strategic response to the North Korean threat, encapsulated in his thesis titled “Japan’s Security Policy and Civil Preparedness in Response to the North Korean Threat, 2006–2017.”
Beyond the scope of his doctoral investigation, Dr. Khan’s scholarly pursuits encompass a multifaceted examination of Japan’s geopolitical terrain and its concomitant security apparatus. Additionally, his research examines the intricate fabric of the Indo-Japan strategic relationship, along with an analysis of broader regional security imperatives—notably within the Indo-Pacific theatre and the intricacies of multilateral fora such as the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue.
Dr. Khan’s scholarly trajectory has recently veered toward an elucidation of the ripple effects stemming from global tumult—exemplified by the Ukrainian conflict—upon the intricate tapestry of East Asian security dynamics.
