Dr. Sampada S Jahagirdar
Associate Professor
Dr. Sampada S Jahagirdar is a physiotherapist with 17 years of experience, 14 of which have been dedicated to teaching at the academic level. Over the years, she has taught both Bachelor’s and Master’s students, using a practical, innovative approach to education. One of the key initiatives has been collaborating with students to raise community awareness around the diagnosis and management of falls and the fear of falls in the elderly. Additionally, she started a support group for parents of children with special needs, which helped students gain deeper insights into the needs of both elderly individuals and parents of children with disabilities.
These efforts not only enhanced the students’ understanding of these critical issues but also had a positive impact on the community. She prioritize case-based, hands-on learning, encouraging students to engage in discussions and problem-solving activities that foster long-term retention and deeper comprehension. Her goal is to provide value-driven, high-quality education to future physiotherapists, while also making a meaningful contribution to society.
