Assistant Professor
Last worked as a Scientific Assistant in the Department of Forensic Sciences at National Forensic Sciences University, Delhi campus. She has submitted her doctoral thesis in the field of Forensic DNA and Biology. Her research work deals with the fabrication of polymer materials-based DNA biosensors for the purpose of efficient DNA extraction from low quantity forensic samples found at the crime scene. She holds an overall experience of more than 7 years with 5.5 dedicated years as Scientific Assistant in Biology division at State Forensic Science laboratory, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Rohini and teaching experience of more than 1 years. She has assisted Senior Reporting officers in Biology/Serology/DNA examination of biological exhibits in more than 800 cases. She holds hands on experience in various techniques like Automated DNA isolation, RT-PCR, PCR, Nano-Drop spectrophotometer and analysis on Genetic Analyzer. She also holds teaching and research experience in the field of biological sciences at National Forensic Sciences University, Delhi campus.

- Successfully participated in “Hands-on Workshop in Forensic DNA fingerprinting” held at Forensic Science Laboartory, Delhi from 2nd to 7th feb,2020 organized by Forensic Science Laboratory, GNCT-Delhi in collaboration with Promega Biotech India Pvt. Ltd.
- Another successful participation was at UGC Sponsored National Seminar on “Recent Advancements in Forensic Science” held on 17th March, 2018 and was awarded 1st Position in Poster Presentation on the topic “Advances in Microfluidic Systems for Rapid DNA Detection”.
- Actively attended 24th All India Forensic Science Conference during feburary 10th -12th, 2018 at Gujarat Forenisc Sciences University, Ahmedabad and presented a paper on “ DNA Fingerprinting Investigation- A Case Study”.
- Another participation was in the 5th International Science Congress (ISC-2015) held on 8th and 9th December ,2015 at Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal and presented a poster entitled on “ Rapid Screening of some Plant Poisons by TLC using a novel solvent system –A Forensic Approach” and the same was published in Indian Journal of Forensic Science .
