I’m a designer with a deep love for Indian Handicraft, looking to bring my skills and passion to a role as an Assistant Professor. I specialize in textile surface development, including prints, weaves, and traditional techniques. I’m excited about blending contemporary trends with traditional crafts to inspire students and create unique, culturally rich designs. My goal is to help innovate and expand the reach of Indian handicrafts in today’s market.

Karighor Archive – Digital Challenge – Research Assistant (June 2022 – July 2022) – Conducted ethnographic research on handloom textiles, enhancing cross-cultural collaborations.
Surviving through Our Roots – MA Textile Design, UAL (September 2021 – December 2022) – Developed and showcased a collection of indigenous hand-printed textiles. – Collaborated with indigenous artisans to explore fabric lines and contemporary motifs. – Conducted extensive research on historical textile designs, integrating findings into original designs.
Nandna – Revival of a Dying Technique – Bachelor of Design, NIFT (January 2019 – May 2019) – Worked on a government-funded project to revive a traditional craft, developing two collections. – Improved craftsmen’s communication with tourists and promoted the craft, earning the Best Graduation Project Award.
World Anthropology Congress- organized by the United India Anthropological Forum (UIAF) in collaboration with Delhi University, Utkal University, and Sambalpur University, hosted by the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. (August 9 – 14, 2023) -Presented “Can ancient resist block printing technique resist industrial pollution?” under the “Farm to Fashion: Cultural Appropriation, Activism, And Indigenous Communities in Asia” session.
