Prof. Brij B. Gupta is currently the Director of the International Center for AI and Cyber Security Research and Innovations and a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE) at Asia University, Taiwan. With over 18 years of professional experience, Prof. Gupta has published more than 500 papers, including 80 in IEEE/ACM Transactions, authored 35 books, and holds 11 patents. His work has garnered over 29,000 citations.
He has received numerous awards, both nationally and internationally. These include the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship (2009), the Faculty Research Fellowship Award (2017) by MeitY, GoI, the IEEE GCCE Outstanding and WIE Paper Awards, and the Best Faculty Award (2018 & 2019) at NIT KKR. Prof. Gupta was also recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher in Computer Science by Clarivate Web of Science for 2022 and 2023, placing him in the top 0.1% of researchers worldwide. Additionally, he has been listed in Stanford University’s ranking of the world’s top 2% scientists for four consecutive years (2020-2023).
Prof. Gupta also serves as a Distinguished Research Scientist at LoginRadius Inc., USA, a leading cybersecurity company specializing in customer identity and access management (CIAM). He holds visiting or adjunct professorships at several prestigious institutions worldwide, including Birkbeck, University of London; University of Salerno; University of Murcia; Temple University; Deakin University; Ulster University; Swinburne Institute of Technology; Kyung Hee University; Yamaguchi University; Macquarie University; and Staffordshire University.
He has been an IEEE Senior Member since 2017 and was a Distinguished Lecturer for IEEE CTSoc in 2021. Prof. Gupta is also a Member-in-Large on the Board of Governors for the IEEE Consumer Technology Society (2022-2024). As an editor, he leads the IJSWIS, IJSSCI, STE, and IJCAC and is the lead editor for book series with CRC and IET Press. He has served as a TPC member for over 250 international conferences and as an Associate or Guest Editor for various journals and transactions. His research interests include information security, cloud computing, intrusion detection, artificial intelligence, social media, and networking.
