‘Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week SS'19 (LMIFW SS’19), In association with the - Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) & NEXA’

School of Fashion organized an educational visit Fashion design Council of India (FDCI) Visit for their students in ‘Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week SS’19 (LMIFW SS’19), JNU Stadium, New Delhi on 11 October, 2018, where all the students of 1st and 4th Semester along with faculty members Mr. Neeraj Kumar Yadav and Ms. Rasika Kaushal have visited the FDCI Show.

The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), a non-profit organization, is the apex body of fashion design in India. It is represented by their reputed Designers & members and was created to promote, nurture and represent the most incredible talents in the country.

FDCI prime objective is to propagate the business of fashion in India and globally by adding resplendent flair in the form of coveted fashion weeks.

At the ‘Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week SS’19, Designer Pratima Pandey collection, titled Sone ki chidiya, was all about and inspired by the ancient heritage of India and its craft, Pratima is all set with her fusion collection that slowly unfolds through handloom gold, silver Zari, chanderis, handmade digital prints, Maheshwari prints and kadwa techniques. With this collection, Pratima Pandey showcased a collection that presented rich ancient heritage of India and its crafts.

And Designer Shruti Sancheti collection is all about transforming old world charm into contemporary looks. she focuses on fluid khadi silk. Her collection presents Timeless and sophisticated clothing through wallpaper florals & sun-washed kingdoms. She introduced a Contemporary vibe to the 1940s. This collection is a dedication to the handloom of India.

From there, Students saw fusion of varied concepts and also, they Meet known Designers, Celebrities and bollywood personalities.

It was a good learning experience for the Fashion students. From this visit they have visualized and learnt in practical manners, how to manage runway and exhibition, working procedure of main show & Back stage area, Choreography techniques, colours of this season & styles etc. as well as how to treat with buyers, audience and Visitors.
