Roles and Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Video, Radio, OTT, New media, and related fields.
- Develop course curricula aligned with industry standards and academic advancements.
- Guide and mentor students in projects, internships, and academic research.
- Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputed journals.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and industry-oriented training for students.
- Actively participate in departmental activities and contribute to academic growth.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to enhance the school’s academic-industry interface.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication, or a closely related field (from a UGC-recognized university).
Professional Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in academia or media industry in relevant fields such as television production, digital media, radio etc.
- Proven teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level is preferred.
- Proven ability to independently secure and execute consultancy, seed grant projects, copyrights, patents etc.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong practical knowledge of television, digital content, radio production techniques, and related media operations.
- Proficiency in using relevant tools and software for audio-visual production and editing (like Adobe Creative Suite, FCP, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to integrate media industry practices into academic teaching.
- Evidence of published research in reputed journals or industry-relevant contributions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage students through innovative teaching methods.
- Additional Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in handling media projects, consultancies, or freelance productions.
- National/International recognition for contributions to the field of journalism and mass communication.
- Membership in professional organizations related to television, radio, or media studies.
