Job Summary:
K.R. Mangalam University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Professor in Corporate Law to join our esteemed faculty. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, and contributing to the academic development of students. The role requires expertise in corporate law, business law, company law, and related legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Curriculum Development:
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars in Corporate Law, Company Law, Business Law, Securities Law, and related subjects.
- Design and develop curriculum, course materials, and assessments aligned with university standards and industry requirements.
- Guide and mentor students on legal research, case studies, and practical applications of corporate law.
- Engage in innovative teaching methodologies such as case-based learning, simulations, and experiential learning.
- Supervise LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. students in their research and dissertations.
Research & Publications:
- Conduct high-impact research in corporate law and related legal fields.
- Publish research papers in SCOPUS, UGC CARE, or other reputed indexed journals.
- Apply for funded research projects from national and international agencies.
- Present research at national and international conferences.
Academic & Institutional Development:
- Develop industry partnerships to bridge the gap between academia and practice.
- Organize guest lectures, workshops, and seminars with leading corporate lawyers, policymakers, and regulators.
- Participate in curriculum reviews and ensure courses are aligned with the Bar Council of India (BCI) and National Education Policy (NEP 2020) guidelines.
- Serve on departmental and university committees for academic and administrative development.
Student Engagement & Mentorship:
- Act as a faculty mentor for students, guiding them in internships, moots, and legal research projects.
- Support student participation in national and international moot court competitions, ADR competitions, and legal research symposiums.
- Provide career counseling and placement support in corporate law firms, regulatory bodies, and businesses.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ph.D. in Law (Corporate Law/Business Law/Company Law or a related field) from a recognized university
- LL.M. in Corporate Law, Business Law, or Commercial Law with a strong academic record.
- Minimum 2-5 years of teaching and/or industry experience in corporate law, business law, or related legal fields.
- Research publications in SCOPUS/UGC-CARE/Peer-Reviewed Journals.
- Strong understanding of the Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), Competition Law, and other corporate legal frameworks.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Moot Court coaching, ADR training, and practical legal education will be an added advantage.
