Job Title: Event Manager – University Events

Job Summary:
The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing university events, including case competitions, conclaves, guest lectures, workshops, cultural festivals, and other academic and co-curricular activities. The individual will collaborate with various departments, ensure smooth execution of events, and uphold the university’s reputation by delivering high-quality experiences for students, faculty, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Execution:
- Conceptualize and design events such as case competitions, academic conclaves, and guest lectures.
- Develop event plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors for logistics, resources, and services.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with faculty, student clubs, and industry partners to ensure alignment with event objectives.
- Engage with guest speakers, judges, and industry experts for their participation.
Event Promotion and Marketing:
- Work with the marketing team to create promotional strategies and materials for events.
- Use social media, email campaigns, and on-campus channels to maximize participation.
Logistics and Operations:
- Arrange venue setup, catering, technical equipment, and other event necessities.
- Oversee event-day operations, ensuring smooth flow and addressing issues promptly.
Post-Event Analysis:
- Collect feedback from participants, faculty, and stakeholders.
- Prepare event reports, including key learnings and recommendations for future improvements.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all events comply with university policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in event management, preferably in an educational institutionor corporate environment.
- Experience in organizing academic and co-curricular activities like case competitions or professional conclaves.
