PRANAB MUKHERJEE FOUNDATION is working towards finding innovative and lasting solutions that address critical challenges affecting communities in India and other developing countries. The Foundation is bringing together national and international advisors and practitioners, academicians, policy makers and public servants together to address these issues.
K.R. Mangalam University is also opening new frontiers in the domains of Teaching and Learning, with a view to promote and involve all the stakeholders towards holistic development of its students. Keeping this in mind, KRMU faculty and students along with different partners of the Foundation will plan effective approaches, identify existing delivery systems and develop new processes that will accomplish quick and responsive implementation of policies in the field of agriculture, pharmacy, management, hotel management etc.
Two esteemed organisations, Pranab Mukherjee Foundation and K.R.Mangalam University signed a memorandum of understanding to work in a collaborative manner while addressing the local issues affecting the community.
The MoU was signed between Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Aditya Malik and Managing Director of Pranab Mukherjee Foundation, Mrs. Omita Paul. The MoU shall be valid for a period of two years. The objective of this MoU is to facilitate coordination, collaboration and cooperation between these two esteemed organizations for the purposes outlined below:
The university in collaboration with the Pranab Mukherjee Foundation will be developing the curriculum & special modules on Sustainable Agricultural Practices including Organic Farming under B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Degree Program.
With an aim to encourage and to promote healthy food habits in local community, the School of Hotel Management will regularly organise ‘EAT RIGHT CAMPAIGN’ in assistance with PMF..
PMF will help and facilitate the building and development of “Smart Ashram” at KRMU Campus..
PMF & KRMU collaboratively will acquaint the students with the use of alternative medicine and aid in promoting the concept and use of these medicines in the neighbouring villages through its Wellness centres.
KRMU will set up an Innovation Lab at the university campus which will be used as a Pharmacy & Herbal Innovation Laboratory.
PMF will provide opportunities to students from the disciplines of Agriculture, Law, Psychology, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Economics and Marketing to work as interns under its Internship Program.
