Guest Lecture On Investment Awareness & Personal Financial Planning

On 22nd March 2021, the School of Management and Commerce, K.R. Mangalam University, conducted an E-Workshop under community connect on "Investment Awareness and Personal Financial Planning" by Professor Dr. Mukul Jain, working as a professor at J.K. Business School and SEBI certified training faculty. Almost 150 students attended the event. Prof. Mukul Jain started with the Introduction of SEBI and its initiatives regarding financial literacy and financial awareness. SEBI is the country's National Coordinator in organizing Global Money Week, conducting from 22nd to 28th March 2021. He further explained Fundamental Characteristics of Investment and explained different schemes like Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP), which doubles the amount invested in 124 months, and Public Provident Fund (PPF). He further explained different types of Bank deposits, like Current a/c, Savings a/c, etc. The students enjoyed the lecture; it enlightened them about the advantages and disadvantages of investing. These financial terms and their benefits were adequately explained the economic concepts to students so they can incorporate them into their lives.
