Awareness Drive on Dignity of Labour and Plantation Drive
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements.

Today on 2nd October (Gandhi Jayanti) the Legal Aid society, K.R. Mangalam University, and District Legal AID Society Gurugram undertook Awareness drives on Dignity of Labour & Plantation Drive. 15 students took part in this drive.
The day went glorious as students approached various construction sites to get an insight into how the construction worker/laborers are being treated at the site. Several questions were asked including daily wages, prohibition of child/manual labor, working hours, and the kind of exposure they are associated with.

Moving forward the students went to the plantation workers and asked associated questions in constraint to the kinds of plants being sowed, the wage, kind of fertilizer and manures being used & various other questions.

It was a great initiative taken by the university to develop a deep understanding of various topics.
