Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an event on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” was organized by NSS Club, KR Mangalam University in collaboration with Science Club, Chetna Society, SOED, SOHS, SJMC on 7th March 2022 at Adarsh Public School, Garhi Bazidpur, Sohna. As per schedule, the program began around 12:00 PM with the welcome address of  Dr Kuldeep Kumar, Principal of Adarsh Public School, Mr Anshuman Kalra, founder of Women health Expert and Biocredence, and Prachi Chauhan, member of Selfie With a daughter. More than 50 participants were present in the program.

 

The main objective of the program was to create awareness among the people about the importance of girl children. The bigger objective was to discourage female foeticide, cancer and to spread awareness about the negative effects of it on society.

During the event, Agnivesh Tiwari and Sejal Lohiya who hosted the event, discussed the achievements of Avni Lekhra, an Indian Paralympian and rifle shooter. She won a gold medal in 10m Air Rifle standing and a bronze medal in 50m rifle 3 positions at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. The second example they discussed was of Bhawana Kanth who is one of the first female fighter pilots of India. She was declared as the first combat pilot along with two of her cohort, Mohana Singh, and Avani Chaturvedi.

 
 
After this students of K R Mangalam university performed a Nukkar Natak to spread awareness about the importance of girls in society. Mr Anshuman Kalra and Ms Prachi Chauhan awarded the students about the health of women and the role of women in society. They acknowledged that if girls survive, the earth will survive and so on.
