Creativity with strategy: Print Media Advertising Competition

SOHS KRMU organized an Inter-university print medium advertising competition titled “Creativity with Strategy - Print Advertising Competition” on 24th February 2022. The event was conducted in hybrid mode where students could participate both in online and offline mode. The event was open to both team participation and individual participation. A nominal registration amount of INR 70 for individual participants and INR 200 for a team of 2-6 participants was charged to students. The students registered online through google forms and on the spot offline registration. All the event was covered by the journalism and mass communication team of KRMU.

There were 18 solo participants and 7 team entries for the event from various colleges and universities. A total of five cash prizes were given. A cash prize of INR 1500 was given to Palak as the first position holder, INR 1000 as a second prize to Manisha and INR 750 as the third prize to team ‘Aces’ from J K Business School Gurgaon. Two consolation prizes of INR 250 each were given to Arshleen Kaur and Team Khushboo.

The event was judged by Dr Kiran Bala Dean School of Journalism and Mass Communication KRMU and Dr Rajat Gera Dean School of Management and Commerce KRMU. All participants were given certificates. The participants and guests were also given refreshments. The event was successfully concluded with the words of wisdom from Dr Kiran Bala and Dr Rajat Gera. They appreciated students for their creativity and motivated them for doing better in the future. They also discussed technical aspects associated with print advertising and enlightened students on the significant role of print medium advertising in the current times of online social media marketing. All COVID-19 protocols like social distancing, use of masks, sanitization, etc. were followed.
