Exquisites: Inter-University Quiz Competition
On 21 February 2022, an Inter-University Event “EXQUISITS”: Science Quiz Competition was organized by the SCHOOL OF EDUCATION in collaboration with Dr. APJ ABDUL KALAM SCIENCE CLUB at K.R. Mangalam University.
The event witnessed enthusiastic preparation and participation for the comprising rounds of the event. The format of the event was comprised of three rounds mainly; an objective type round, a Pass on, and finally an extempore round. The time allotted for the initial round was of around 15 minutes. The second round was an open round, failing which the question was passed on to the other participant however five questions were framed for each participant. In the last round, every participant was given a common topic to speak on for a minute.
Scores were evaluated through different aspects, comprising quality of content, confidence while delivering a speech, and quantity of information conveyed in a given time. The event was conducted in a hybrid mode. Although every competitor participated actively, the student who displayed her actions confidently in the final round was Nishu Yadav followed by the participant who was welcomed from the Rawal University of Education, Piyush Gupta, and the third position was secured by Kabir Choudhary. Exciting cash prizes of INR 1K, INR 700, and INR 500 were granted to each participant, and participation certificates for all.
The event was successful with the help of our event coordinators; Dr. Neeraj Kumari, Assistant Professor, School of Basic and Applied Science, and Ms. Kanchan Khateja, Assistant Professor, School of Education, and the student coordinators, Ms. Guruksha and Ms. Aarti.
