To promote participatory and hands-on learning in Science Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science Club, K.R.Mangalam University organized an Inter-University Competition “Science Exhibit-2022” at KRMU premises. The event aims to provide a common platform for students to give shape to their innovative ideas and learn from each other’s experiences.
The event was started by Dr. Neeraj Kumari, Coordinator of the Science club, and Dr. Nidhi Gaur, Co-coordinator of the Science Club welcoming all the students with best wishes.
There were different models on different themes like IOP-based hybrid streets, electric bicycles, firebird obstacle, home automation, drone, rainwater harvesting, assignments problem analysis, and many more.
All students participated with great zeal and exhibited their scientific temperaments with a concern for sustainability and inclusivity. The event was conducted with an aim to provide a medium for popularizing Science and increasing awareness among stakeholders about the close relationship between Science, Technology, and Society, encourage scientific and technological creativity among students through self-designed models or simple apparatus, and encourage a problem-solving approach and developing appropriate technologies by applying scientific ideas in daily life situations among the students.
With their fierce views, outstanding performance, and presentation of the drone model, Diwakar, Rahul, Lakshay and Shaurya scored the first position with INR 2,000. The second prize of INR 1,500 was won by two teams: Monika, Ayush and Harshit for their IOP-based hybrid streets model and Avinav Gupta for the Automatic side sound retrieve system. The third prize was received by Agnivesh Tiwari, Jeetika, Amit Tanwar, and Muskan for assignments problem analysis with INR 1000.
This kind of exhibition shows is an attempt to collaborate and provide an opportunity for a friendly union among the students.
