13th April Venue - KR Mangalam University


K.R. Mangalam University School of legal Studies, Client Counselling Committee, Legal Consortium organised “Intra University Client Counselling Competition” on 13th April 2022.

This offline competition was conducted in the Moot Court Hall of A block of the University. The Legal Consortium of KRMU welcomed the students of the university from all the courses to participate in the competition. The competition was coordinated by Ms. Sakshi, Assistant professor, SOLS and Mr. Thomas Monteiro, Assistant professor, SOLS. The student coordinators were Dhruvi A Shah and Tarun Kapoor.

The judges for the same were:

2. Ms. Medha Garg

In this competition, the clients were reshuffled to maintain the transparency of the competition. The participants were given 15 minutes for client consultation and the next 5 minutes were given for the post consultation period. At last, the judges were given 5 minutes for the questioning round. The participation included 5 teams; each team consisted of two students as client-advocate duo. The participants showed enthusiastic spirit and competed with a fair will.

After the completion of the task, the judges announced the winners of the competition.

The 1st position was won by Tanya (1905140013) BCOM LLB

2nd position for the Best Advocate was given to Ishita (1905150003) BBA LLB.

1st position for the Best Client was given to Shweta (1905140014) BBA LLB and 2nd  position for the Best Client was secured by Vibhor (1805170032) BA LLB.

The goal of the competition was to teach the young law aspirants the techniques and approaches in the law field as lawyers. Client counselling also encourages students to develop interviewing, planning and analytical skills because this is  a significant part of the lawyer’s work.
