K.R. Mangalam University NSS organized by OPEN MIC COMPETITION

On 24th March "Open mic" competition was organized by the National Service Scheme unit of K. R. Mangalam University in association with Aashiyana poetry, Sponsored by Mind craft, in Moot Court, A- block. The theme of this event was to showcase your hidden talent. The competition was judged by Ms. Nivedita Chakraborty, an award-winning poet; Ms. Niharika Kaushik, founder of Aashiyana poetry; & Mr. Himanshu Chauhan. The program started with a brief introduction to the NSS Unit of the University. The competition was divided into two categories; the first category consists of singing, beatboxing, and rapping, followed by the second category, i.e., storytelling, slam poetry, and Shayri. Students enthusiastically participated in the program in huge numbers and made this program a big success. With his outstanding performance, Mr. Ahan Dey won the 1st position with the cash prize of Rs. 600, 2nd position was bagged by Shruti Sharma with the cash prize of Rs. 400, 3rd position was bagged by Anisha Sharma with the cash prize of Rs. 300 and Powel & Srishti won the consolation prize with the cash prize of Rs. 100 each. The program provided a platform for the students to showcase their hidden talent. NSS coordinator, Dr. Chandra Mohan, appreciated the team efforts put in by the members and NSS volunteers for making this event a massive hit. The guests gave inspirational speeches; they shared their experiences and acknowledged all the participants for their mind-blowing performances.
