SCIZONE - 2021: “Spectacle of Science” Inter-University Competition organized by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science Society on 10th December 2021
"SCIZONE – 2021: Spectacle of Science", Inter-University competition was organized by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science Society, K. R. Mangalam University on 10th December 2021 in C-block.
There were around 12 teams from different schools like the School of Basic and Applied Science, School of Engineering & Technology, and colleges like Govt. Girls College, Sector – 14, Gurugram. The main objectives of this event were:

To promote the interest of students in Science and Technology.

To encourage scientific and technological creativity among students through self-designed models or simple apparatus.

To encourage a problem-solving approach and develop appropriate technologies by applying scientific ideas in daily life situations.
The event was started by Dr. Dilraj Preet Kaur, Coordinator of Science society with associated faculties, Dr. Neeraj Kumari, and Ms. Pooja Vats by welcoming all the students with best wishes. There were various models presented by students like a solar cell, smartphone projector, Lova lamp, Solar cell wind plant, automatic parking, obstacle detector, hydraulic forklift, solar wind hybrid system, state-of-the-art campus, and many more models.
All students participated with great zeal and exhibited their scientific temperaments with a concern for sustainability and inclusivity. The models were evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges (Dr. Meena Bhandari and Dr. Vineet Dahiya).
With their fierce views, outstanding performance, and presentation, Jyoti Yadav and Sakshi Yadav from Govt. Girls College, Sector – 14, Gurugram scored the first position. Shaurya, Kanishka, and Sheetal from B Sc (H) Physics, School of Basic and Applied Science won second prize and Ms. Monika from B. Tech (Electrical Engineering) won third prize.
Dr. Meena Bhandari and Dr. Vineet Dahiya appreciated the efforts of the students and awarded a ‘Certificate of Merit’ and prize money to the winners.
In the last, the coordinators of the science society congratulate to the winners and thanks all students for participating and attending the event.
