SOLS Organized National Webinar on “CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN ADR TECHNIQUES”
December 03, 2021, School of Legal Studies of K.R Mangalam University organized a “Virtual National Seminar”. The theme of the seminar was “Contemporary Issues in ADR Techniques”. The delegates from all over the country have participated in the seminar.
This competition was held through virtual mode and More than 100 people participated in the seminar. The seminar was started with the welcome address given by Dr, Archana Vashishth, Assistant Professor,School of Legal Studies,K.R Mangalam University. She welcomed all the Resource person, faculty member, students and delegates of the University of All the Courses to take part in this seminar who gave their papers for their respective topics. The seminar was marked by the presence of Prof. (Dr) Dalip Singh, Professor in Department of Laws Kurukshetra University who was the keynote speaker and has discussed about the “Lok Adalat : A form of ADR” The session was continued by the Dr Rajesh Malik, Professor in Department of Laws, Central University, Mahendergarh who has given immense knowledge about the “Administration of Justice through ADR”
The seminar comprised of two technical sessions. The first technical session was chaired by the Dr. Seema Gupta, Assistant Professor, University Institute of Legal Studies, Chandigarh University, Mohali and Dr. Sukanya Singha, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. The second session was chaired by Dr. Rajesh Hooda, Chairperson, Department of Laws, BPS University, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat and Dr. Kavita Yadav, Assistant Professor, Law Centre-1, Delhi University.
The paper presenters were given 5+2 minutes to speak on their work. Also, the participants followed the rules which were laid down for the said session. The chaired person asked various question relating to the research of the particular topic of the participant and the participants answered them very diligently.
The next session of the seminar was taken up by Dr Saroj Saini, Sr. Case Officer, Conatur Legal Adelaide, South Australia. She discussed real life examples with the attendees to make them understand the concept of ADR with ease.
The seminar was interesting and informative wherein several day-to-day examples were put forth for better understanding.
The Session ended with vote of thanks given by hosts of this event, they extended their heartfelt gratitude towards the Chief Guests, Faculty Members, delegates and students for making this event a great success.
