Workshop on Stress Management

Most of the time, you cannot control the situation which is around you, but you can always control on yourselves what troubles you.

As the times are changing, everyone operates every situation on a global basis as it is difficult to cope with pressure on professional as well as the social front. In order to enable the students to handle stress more effectively, a one-day workshop on “Stress Management” organized by the School of Humanities in association with the School of Basic & Applied Sciences, Chetna Society, and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science Club on the 21st March 2022 from 10:30 am- 1:30 p.m in Moot Court, A- Block, K R Mangalam University, Gurugram. As per the schedule, the workshop began on time with a welcome address and facilitation of eminent speaker Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Chadha, Former Head, Department of Psychology, University of Delhi, Chief Psychometrician & Director of Advisory Board of Wellness Mandala by Prof. (Dr.) Tania Gupta, Dean School of Humanities, and Dr. Meena Bhandari, Dean School of Basic and Applied Sciences. 40 students from the host schools, clubs, and society attended this impactful workshop.

The workshop commenced with a Heartfulness Meditation session conducted by Dr. Ruchika Yadav, Associate Professor, School of Management & Commerce (SOMC) and In-charge Chetna Society. Prof. Chadha in a student-centric manner enabled the students to understand the concept of stress and discussed various psychological, emotional, environmental, and physical effects emerging them. Through various case studies discussed by the speaker, the workshop became more informative and entertaining. At the end of the session doubts and queries of participants were resolved. The session culminated with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Tania Gupta, Dean School of Humanities Dean School of Education, and Dean of Student Welfare, and a token of gratitude was presented to the resource person by Prof. (Dr.) Chandra Shekhar Dubey, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, K.R. Mangalam University.
