Elocution Competition

On the occasion of International Day for Peace, the School of Humanities, K.R. Mangalam University organized an elocution competition on the topic: End Racism, Build Peace on 21 September 2022. The competition was meant to encourage students to improve their public speaking and critically thinking about human rights issues such as Racism. Students spoke on Racism and its various manifestations at home and beyond. They cited national and international examples such as Gandhi’s experience in South Africa as well as what North-Eastern students face in North India. They also shared their personal experience as well as some examples from pop culture and how it contributes to creating certain stereotypes. Such competition helps the students to boost their confidence and learn new skills.
