Prof Hemani Singh has lived, worked and studied in different parts of the world. She has been in Dubai, Singapore and Netherlands for almost two decades and has been involved in professional and academic work. After graduating from School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi in 1994, she worked for several years with architectural firms in India and the Middle East. She worked on projects of diverse scales and contexts ranging from conservation, urban design, interior design and architecture. In Netherlands she completed her Master’s programme at Technische Universiteit, Eindhoven and continued with academic research in Singapore. She moved back to India in 2013 and has been actively involved in teaching and academic work. She has been working extensively in introducing innovation in teaching pedagogy, didactics, curricular development, interdisciplinary learning as well as collaboration between industry, academic programmes and universities.
