SJMC organizes ‘Perceptive: Live Talk Show’ under Community Connect Programme

October 14, 2020: School of Journalism and Mass Communication under the community connect programme ‘Media Ethics in Digital Age’ organized a virtual live talk show – ‘PERCEPTIVE’ on 14th October 2020.

The objective was to deliberate upon the brewing media topics such as agenda setting, yellow journalism, fake news and many more. Mr. Priyanshu Grover, Corporate Law and Energy Law Enthusiast was the guest speaker and Ms. Shruti Sharma, BA(JMC), III semester student conducted the session.

The varied questions were raised by the audience on the topics which were answered by the guest with utmost diligence, accuracy and a non- biased front. On being asked about one such question related to choice left with people in the current scenario Mr. Priyanshu replied George Orwell quote stating- “war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength “.

After approx. 25-30 questions being answered by the guest the session culminated at 3.00 pm with a generous vote of thanks presented by Ms. Shruti Sharma on behalf of SJMC.
