Students of K.R. Mangalam University achieved a remarkable milestone at the HackVerse National Hackathon held at IILM University, Gurugram, by securing 1st place among top innovators from across the country. The winning team, Wireless Wizards, comprising Anuj (BCA – AI & DS), Somya Sharma (B.Tech – AI & ML), and Krish Agarwal (B.Tech – AI & ML), showcased an outstanding project titled “EMP Gun.” Addressing the pressing issue of electronic warfare, the team developed a portable EMP device that leverages Artificial Intelligence, IoT, and embedded systems to detect and neutralize electronic threats in a controlled and precise manner. Their innovative solution demonstrated both technical excellence and real-world applicability, earning accolades for its depth and relevance.
We are proud to celebrate the exceptional achievement of our students who have secured a place among the Top 100 teams out of 20,000 in the prestigious SBI College Youth Ideathon and are now heading to the grand finale at IIT Delhi! This significant accomplishment reflects the innovation, teamwork, and determination of the dynamic trio — Varun Kumar, Ashish Dubey, and their teammate — who have represented K.R. Mangalam University with distinction. Their journey stands as an inspiring example of perseverance and creative problem-solving.

We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievement of our students who secured Second Place at HACK KRMU 4.0 – The Ultimate 54-Hour Coding Hackathon, standing out among over 200 competing teams. Representing VIPS TC – School of Engineering & Technology, the team comprising Anshul Rastogi, Varun Dubey, Siddarth Bhardwaj, and their teammate delivered an innovative solution titled “Recyclopedia”—a machine learning model designed to classify waste into recyclable, non-recyclable, and organic categories. Tailored for landfill waste management, their project aims to reduce air pollution and support sustainable development by preventing the direct burning of waste. The hackathon tested their coding stamina, problem-solving abilities, and passion for AI, Machine Learning, and Full Stack Development.
We are thrilled to celebrate the 1st position victory of our brilliant students at Hackutsav 1.0, a challenging 36-hour hackathon hosted by NorthCap University. Competing under Theme 5, the team—comprising Saswat Kumar Das, Ansh Johri, and Omm Rout—demonstrated exceptional innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to emerge as winners in a highly competitive environment. Their relentless dedication, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit set them apart, turning a rigorous coding marathon into a memorable triumph. This outstanding achievement highlights their potential as future leaders in tech and innovation and reflects the commitment of K.R. Mangalam University to nurturing excellence.

This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to their technical excellence, creativity, and collaborative spirit. We are proud to share the outstanding achievement of Team Error 404, who secured 1st Position at the prestigious Nexify’25 Hackathon held at Sushant University on April 16–17, 2025! The team—Sahil Raj, Aastha Srivastava, Parth Khandelwal, and Suhani Gupta—demonstrated remarkable creativity, innovation, and teamwork to emerge victorious in a highly competitive environment. Congratulations to our SOET student, Ms. Sejal Mittal, BCA (AI/DS), for her outstanding achievement at the 22nd World Traditional Karate Championship in Villa Do Conde, Portugal, held from October 7 to 14, 2024. She earned a silver medal in her category, competing against some of the best athletes in the world.

Heartfelt congratulations to the following students for securing the 1st prize at the “Hack Utsav” hackathon, organized by Northcap University on 16th October 2024. The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 for their outstanding project.

Team BTRACK, a transport automation system, secured the 2nd Runner-Up position at the Hackmor Hackathon by Manav Rachna University. Their solution helps educational institutions reduce 250 kg of CNG per day through optimised transportation, lowering costs and emissions. This innovative approach impressed the judges, highlighting the team’s success in the competition.

Research Internship at IIT Bombay
Shourya Tyagi got a Research Internship at CSE department, IIT Bombay under the guidance of Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan and Project research Scientist, Dr. Venkatapathy Subramanian. The Internship is about building and researching on OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for the Indic Languages. The Internship is of 1 year and after the completion of the internship he shall be awarded with a certificate of completion and a LOR (letter of recommendation) from the Professor Ganesh Ramakrishna.
Subhojit Mukhopadhyay
Successfully completed the internship with a German MNC as a cyber security intern at Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs. 2. He Attended the ACM India Winter School 2022 which was hosted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 12th December’22 to 22nd December’22. The domain was “Topics in Digital Trust”.
Startup project: स्व-LOCKER: Reinventing Secure Storage
स्व-LOCKER is a startup founded by Taranpreet Kaur and co-founded by Shubham Chadha of B.Tech. CSE 1st Year. Idea is to provide innovative and secure storage solutions for modern lifestyles. Team has developed a unique locker system that combines both digital and physical storage, revolutionizing the way people safeguard their valuables. This project is also shortlisted for HICOOL 2023 Global Entrepreneurship Competition – One of the Top 10 Global Startup Ecosystems in Beijing.
THE LINUX FOUNDATION’S LFX MENTORSHIP PROGRAM’S SPRING 2022
Abhinav Sinha, a 4th year B. Tech. CSE student from School of Engineering & Technology, has successfully graduated from The Linux Foundation’s LFX Mentorship program’s Spring 2022 semester. During this programme, he has directly worked on the development of an official Kubernetes sub-project. The stipend for the successful completion of this programme was $3,000. Abhinav Sinha is also placed with multinational company ‘Nirmata” at 20 LPA in 2023.
ALIBABA CLOUD LOW CODE DEVELOPMENT CONTEST 2022
K.R. Mangalam organised a Bootcamp of ALIBABA CLOUD LOW CODE DEVELOPMENT CONTEST 2022 in collaboration with Indiaspark on 7th March. Dev Watts, student of B.Tech. CSE VI semester, won the second position at the national level and Milind Udhav, student of B.Tech. CSE VI semester, won the Innovation Award. K.R. Mangalam University also won the trophy of best organiser among 150 universities. This contest was organised at the National level by Alibaba Cloud.
