Soil Mechanics Lab

The soil lab provides academic and research services through performing all lab tests needed for analysis and study of soil characteristics and their properties.

Engineering Geology Lab

The Geology lab is used for experiments related to crystallography and mineralogy. State-of-the-art facilities are also available for experiments on structural geology.

Environmental Engineering Lab

The Environmental Lab comprises modern and technically advanced instruments needed for water and wastewater analyses. The lab also has several in-situ devices and equipment to perform different types of measurements and to grab composite water, wastewater samples.

Transportation Engineering Lab

Transportation lab consists of equipment used in the testing of properties of bituminous materials and Aggregates such as viscosity, ductility, CBR and plasticity and for hybrid design of bitumen mix by Marshall Method.

Fluid Mechanics Lab

Basic knowledge of Fluid mechanics is essential for all civil engineers because they frequently come across several problems involving the flow of fluids, the force of fluid on structural surfaces, etc. This laboratory is used for experimentation on the properties and behaviour of fluids.

Hydraulic Engineering Lab

The Hydraulic Engineering laboratory is equipped with all the facilities and experimental setup to demonstrate and make students understand various mensuration methods of flow rates, capacity & velocity of water in tanks, closed pipes, and open channels.

Structure Analysis Lab

The Structural Analysis Lab facilitates the determination of the effects of loads on physical structures and their components. Results of the analysis are used to verify a structure’s fitness for use.

Computer Aided Drawing Lab for Sustainable Architecture

The CAD Lab is equipped with AutoCAD and STADD PRO software used for designing and drawing. The knowledge gained in the lab eventually assists the students in delivering quality services throughout their employment in the industry.

Geomatics Lab

The Geomatics lab is used for surveying exercises and is equipped with all the latest instrumentation viz. levels, total stations, and GPS receiver sets for conducting ground surveying works.

Smart Material Testing Lab

The behaviour and properties of smart structural materials, e.g. Green Concrete, Smart Cement, and Sand, can be better understood by detailed, well-designed, first-hand experience of these materials. The students will become familiar with the nature and properties of construction materials by conducting laboratory tests.

Geotechnical Engineering Lab

The student will gain hands-on experience in conducting soil laboratory tests to determine soil parameters needed for geotechnical engineering design and to communicate this information with others. Besides, the laboratory is equipped for the determination of moisture content, density, and plastic limit, and liquid limit, shrinkage limit, bearing capacity, grain size distribution, and the specific gravity of soil.
