Message from the Dean

The School of Hotel Management and Catering Technology at K.R. Mangalam University started in 2019 to prepare students who want to pursue their careers in the hospitality industry. This four-year professional programme develops theoretical and practical abilities among students in hospitality research, on-ground operations, and the overall managerial disciplines. Industry interface is a growth imperative for students as they get to interact with experts across the industry.

Our well-designed programme aligns students learning with regional, national and global competencies through International academic partnership tie-ups, credit transfer systems, and focused community outreach activities. Students learn innovative concepts and practices that guide hospitality and tourism organizations in a dynamic and multi-cultural world. Two six-month internships in the operational and managerial field at a 5-star hotel are mandatory for students during the programme. Our training and placement cell monitors the career progression of learners and helps them find excellent internship opportunities.

Strong ties with businesses in the hospitality sector provide a wide array of employment opportunities at the time of graduation supported by the in-house training and placement cell. KRMU relishes friendly relationships with pioneers in the hospitality industry that offers internship programmes to our students.
