The LL.M. (One-year) Part-time course has been specially designed to specifically meet the demands of working professionals who because of their job commitments find it difficult to pursue higher education. The andragogy of this much-demanded course will empower the law graduates to learn while implementing the same in their work fields.

Course Outline

LL.M. (Part-Time) programme is a one-year programme spread over two semesters and consists of three components- core subjects, elective course, and a Dissertation. Core subjects are - i) Law & Justice in the Globalizing World, ii) Research Methods & Legal Writing, and iii) Comparative Public Law/ System of Governance. These subjects are classroom-based. Students are expected to complete six elective courses over two semesters, which are research-based. A wide range of elective courses are available in one's area of specialization. These can be from different specialization depending upon a student's interest. Dissertation writing is a mandatory component of the Program. The course is intended to impart intensive knowledge and training in the area of laws which shall help the students acquire wider perspectives both for research and professional application.

Career Options

A Post Graduate degree in Law with specialization shall provide opportunity to the students to pursue further research in legal studies in India or Abroad. Students can look forward to pursuing a Doctorate in Law for a career in Higher education. It will also help the student to get increments in judicial services.

Eligibility Criteria

Apart from being a Law graduate with not less than 50% in aggregate from a recognized university, the candidate must be a working professional.
